CROCHET BEADED ROPE & CROCHET SLOUCHY BEANIE

1st March 2017 @ 9.30pm (Wednesday)

I did this crochet long beaded rope necklace awhile back.  You can't really see the design of the cats which I did in black and white with segments of coloured seed beads.  It is long enough to convert it into a multi strand bracelet as well.  I found this pattern on Pinterest but didn't know who the designer was, so credit goes back the original person who created this pattern.

Note:  The above was placed on fake grass carpet

That's me in the photo :D

Below are photos of some completed crochet beaded rope necklace which
was completed awhile back.

I made this slouchy beanie for my daughter who was preparing for her trip to Taiwan.  This is my first attempt at making a beanie so I was like searching for patterns on YouTube and the end result was a mixture from a few crocheters.

I like the look of the back portion.

Oops.... forgotten to adjust the beanie properly before snapping the photo.

Another slouchy beanie in grey with ribbed pattern.

This dark brown alternating front and back post crocheted beanie was for a newborn.

Well... that's about all that I can share for the moment.
Will update as and when I have some new crafts.

Happy crafting!

I AM BACK .....

28 February 2017 @ 8.08 pm (Tuesday)

Hello ...... Hello ...... I am back again.  I have not been diligently hardworking since my last post (dated 19th January 2016) and was away from doing what I love most, that is wire jewelry crafting.  I was also having problem signing into my blog because I have forgotten my own password.  Now that I am able to sign in, I have a new problem ... that is unable to upload photos because I have a faulty USB cable.  Need to get one fast  .....

Besides having a blog, I am more active on Facebook.  So, most photos are uploaded there.  You can view the page under "Emilysecretpassions.blogspot.com" to see what I have been up to since my last blog post.  I have been doing some bead rope crocheting as well as made an attempt at crocheting slouchy hat.

I can't wait to get back into the mood for wire work but it has to wait a little while longer while I iron out some personal issues. Doing a wire jewelry tutorial is in my to-do list and I hope to publish it by this year.

Need to get the cable soonest possible so that I can share some of the photos here as well.

Let's see when I'll update again but in the meantime, have a wonderful weekend, peeps!

Handmade Crochet Beaded Rope Necklace

19th January 2016 (Tuesday) @ 1.50pm

I'm sharing photos of a crocheted beaded rope necklace which I made for myself and love it very much.  I have not worn it yet though.  This necklace measures 45 cm with extra 6 cm extention as I like it to be short.  It can also be converted as a two strand bracelet.

Thanks for looking!

"Missing In Action"

17th January 2016 (Sunday) @ 2.36pm

Gosh!  Its been more than 5 months since I last update my blog.
I would like to sincerely apologize for not updating any new post.  I have not been able to upload any jewelry photos from my hand phone to the computer due to a problem that I have not rectified so far.  Need to solve this problem soon.

I have been a doing a little bit of this and that, in between other things that has been happening in my daily life.  I am beginning to pick things up again, hopefully, soon.

The Chinese New Year is fast approaching and self here has been busy in preparation for the coming festival.   So, wire jewelry and crafting has to take a back seat for the time being.

Thank you, too, to Craftsy & Etsy members and others who purchased my wire jewelry tutorials from Craftsy  and my Etsy shop "EmilySecretPassions".  I plan to make a new wire jewelry tutorial, too, and hope to make it materialize  =)

So, here's wishing everyone out there a wonderful weekend and have a splendid and awesome week ahead.

Love,
Emily

Hello, hello ...... Welcome home to myself

9th May 2015 (Saturday) @ 9.07am

Gosh!  It's been about 4 long months since I last updated my blog.  Been busy doing this and that in between those months.  I've also been away far too long from wire jewelry crafting and have been doing a little bit of crocheting and trying to learn new stitches.  I've only known how to do the basic crochet stitches like the single crochet, double crochet and was not really aware of other stitches/patterns like the broomstick, ribbed, hairpin lace, chevron, star, etc. etc....

Anyway,  here are two photos of the filigree coiled earrings which I last crafted  just for sharing.  It's been listed for sale in my Etsy shop,  www.etsy.com/shop/emilysecretpassions together with my other wire jewelry making tutorials.

100% crafted with silver plated anti tarnish artistic wire and Swarovski bicone crystals.

Alrite, now going back to finishing a scarf I crocheted this week.  Hope to update again soon with photos of the scarf.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hello to January 2015

4th January 2015

Hello everyone!   I know I have not been very productive for the year 2014 and has been lacking behind in updating my blog.  I hope to come back to it soon after I have some personal affairs settled and everything back to "really normal" in my life.

The year 2014 in my opinion has not been good to me and as I am typing this post, my mind is wandering to the affairs that I have to solve.  I can't help but to say I have sleepless nights and loss of appetite over this.

So, I am taking this opportunity to make this short announcement that I would be taking a very, very long break from updating my blog until I sort out the affairs.  I will not be crafting jewelry but for those who are interested in purchasing my wire jewelry tutorials, you may go to my etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/emilysecretpassions.   If you have any inquiries, you can email me at emilytanmeisin@yahoo.com and I will get back to you ASAP, provided my internet connection is not down.

Thank you for reading this and for  being patient with me.

I would  also like to this this opportunity to wish everyone who comes across this blog

Happy New Year 2015
